When we aren't working at our day jobs or tending to our menagerie of furry children, we love to cook (and to eat!). We are both vegetarians with a focus on local, sustainable, nourishing, organic food, without sacrificing taste and comfort when it comes to our meals.

We live in a farmhouse built in 1836 on land that we've named Moonshine Acres, hence the name of our blog! While we're far from completely self-sufficient homesteaders we try to grow as much of our own food and make as many of our meals from scratch as possible.

 

We both love animals, art, antiques, theatre, The Great British Bake-Off, and Netflix! We met while we were both working at our local co-op, became friends when Donna got sober and was looking for other non-drinking companions, fell in love (that's the abridged version!), and the rest of history.
